Living with Bears at Wintergreen

Matt Overstreet, the Regional Wildlife Manager for the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, was at The Nature Foundation last month to speak to the Wintergreen Homeowners’ Association and the general public about Virginia’s rising American Black Bear population. The talk highlighted the state’s bear guidelines which are designed to promote public safety, protect property, and conserve bear populations.
